A Day in Universal Studios Singapore

If you're thinking of going to the Universal Studios Singapore soon, here's how I've spent the day and what I think are the things you must try in there! Well, the youngest of us was 10 years old so this is probably not a good plan for those with younger kids.

We reached USS around 10.45am and left before 7pm. It was a Friday during the one week Septemebr school holidays but the queue was much better than expected!!

First, grab the schedule of the day and take note of the timings of all the meet and greet sessions of your favourite characters! We didn't and just took pictures along the way with whichever we bumped into. ;)

We went straight to ride TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle as it's new since the last time we went there. All of us loved it.

Next, the must-not-be-missed Revenge of the Mummy ride! It's an awesome indoor roller coaster which I really enjoyed even though I can already anticipate everything. lol. Then, we hop on to a water show called WaterWorld which starts at 12.30pm. Be ready to get wet in both the soak zone and splash zone!

Lunch was settled in Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor where each slice is bigger than your face. After a filling lunch we went on a kiddy ride called Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase which gives us some time to digest our food. And then we decided to go for TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle and Revenge of the Mummy again. Well, that's also because the huge roller coaster, Battlestar Galactica: CYLON/HUMAN is closed. :( Go and ride if it's open when you're there!

Been there a few times but haven't got the chance to try this... like finally I went on the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure! Some came out all dry, others all soaked. Really exciting especially if you're riding with your group. (I shan't say more.) This was followed by a ride on a junior roller coaster, Enchanted Airways, drying us up a little. It was pretty fun but ended too quickly. Shrek 4-D Adventure was a great show but I've watched it far too many times. The younger ones then went for the Canopy Flyer, another kiddy roller coaster but the queue was duper long so... some of us went to grab some snacks instead while waiting for them. The last but one of my favourite show we went for was Monster Rock at 6.10pm. If you have to pick just one show to watch in USS, make this the one! If you have to pick two then go for WaterWorld too la. After the show, it's time for shopping in Hollywood before leaving the park. :)

Hope you had fun reading, thanks for coming by!

The Body Shop products I will continue buying

Some time ago, I had a friend working in The Body Shop and could get great discounts for their products so I started using them. Now that she's left the company, I just want to share some products that I've found so awesome and would continue to buy (:

Olive Bath & Shower Gel

This just smells so good and leaves my skin feeling so clean and soft. Don't get me wrong but BS has so many other nice smelling shower gels that I like such as Satsuma and White Musk Libertine, but this is my favourite! If I'm not wrong, olive oil is a really good oil for our skin too. ($12.90)

Elderflower Cooling Eye Gel

On some stay-home days my eyes feel so puffy and oily and I don't want to put any more eye cream/serum on them. I'll then smooth on some of this refreshing eye gel which is cooling and soothing. It is not sticky after application and smells really light and natural! ($18.90)

SPA FIT Smoothing and Refining Body Scrub & Toning Body Massager

Did you know that exfoliating dead skin cells on our body is important for great skin? The benefits that comes with scrubbing includes skin glow, improve appearance of aged skin and reduce the look of cellulite. Furthermore, it can be really relaxing and pampering so, start scrubbing!

This is my favourite body scrub as of now because it is in all ways awesome. Really. The smell is so shiok and refreshing, I feel like I'm rubbing lemons on myself each time. Although I find it a little less gentle (painful lah) on the skin, the after scrub feeling is just soooo great. My skin feels (don't know if it is) a little firmer, smoother and much cleaner. It feels like I've been in a spa for a full body scrub and massage. However, I only use this once in a while because you can't scrub your body all the time (it'll be too harsh) and I'm lazy. Haha. If you were to buy this scrub, MUST buy the massager too because it goes so well together. Expensive, but confirm worth the investment. BS, please never ever discontinue this. ($42.90 & $14.90)
